Suzanne Steinle, 78, of Olathe, passed away on November 16, 2019. She was born on January 14, 1941 to Charles and Dorothy (Fry) Stotts in Neodesha, KS.

Suzanne grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma and graduated from Ponca City High School. She attended Oklahoma State University, where she majored in Elementary Music Education and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She later received her Master of Education degree from the University of Kansas.

She was married to Gordon Steinle on June 1, 1968, and after a stay at the U.S. Military Base in Kaiserslautern, Germany, they moved to Olathe in the early 1970s.

She was employed in the Olathe Public School district as an Elementary Music Teacher for many years, later as a piano accompanist for high school choirs and musical theater events. She also taught piano lessons from her home and was an accompanist for a multitude of performances, for students, professionals, groups, churches and others. She enjoyed listening to music of different genres and attending performances and concerts.

Suzanne is survived by her sons, Erich (Nicole) Steinle and Mark (Lori) Steinle; the father of her children, Gordon Steinle; four grandchildren - Devin, Colin, Liesel, and Penelope; three sisters, Alverta, Carol and Sally; brother Bill; cousin Connie; nieces Stacy, Sara, Wendy and Allison and nephews Michael, Matthew and Luke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Steve and sister Stephanie.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 21155 College Blvd., Olathe, KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
