James E. Tepesch, 72, of Olathe, KS passed Sunday, October 13, 2019 at home. Visitation will be at 10 AM Saturday, October 19 at Penwell-Gabel Olathe Chapel followed by a memorial service at 11 AM.

Jim was born on October 8, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Carl and Virginia Tepesch. Jim graduated from Louisburg High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Over the course of a 50-year work life, Jim was an accountant for Ferrellgas, Webco Manufacturing, Magnum Diamond, and Propane Resources. In his retirement, he volunteered for KC Faithworks and Heart to Heart International.

He loved reading, science, aviation, travel, and being right. Jim will be remembered for his tireless work ethic and his pursuit of a carpet-like lawn. By his family, he will be remembered as their anchor – his love and devotion to his family was without question.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lynette Tepesch, son Patrick (Kate Paterson), step-daughter Nina (Sean Kelley), grandchildren Claire, Erin, Liam, and Colm, and brothers Bill (Sandi), Tom (Terry), and Mike (Linda).
