Donald J. Ferguson II, 83, having lived the past 15 years in Overland Park, KS, passed away on July 27, 2019 at Autumn Leaves of Overland Park, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born on October 31, 1935 to Ethel (Birch) and Donald J. Ferguson, Jr. of St. Louis, MO, he graduated from Ritenour High School ('53) and received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla ('57). Don worked for Southwestern Bell and later, AT&T in the telecommunications industry for more than 45 years and retired in 1998.

He was a devoted member of Central Presbyterian Church in Clayton Missouri, where he volunteered his time as an usher, completed the full course of Bible Study Fellowship and attended several Promise Keepers Men's Conferences through the years. Don loved spending time with his grandsons, traveling with his wife, Cardinals baseball, ice cream, golfing with friends and attending his many high school and college reunions. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and well respected manager in his field. His charm, quick wit and kind heart will be dearly missed by the many who knew him.

Donald is survived by his brother Dennis, formerly of St. Charles, MO, his wife Joy formerly of Chesterfield, MO, his daughter and son-in law, Donna and Keenen Wilson of Greenwood, IN, son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Melissa Ferguson of St. Charles, MO, daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Lannie Ornburn of Overland Park, KS, along with and his nine grandsons Cody, Alex, Daniel, John, Tyler, Brandon, Brendan, Avery and Austin.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, uncles and aunts.

A Memorial Service will be held at Schrader Funeral Home, in Ballwin, MO at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, August 3, 2019. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Don's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at http://www.alzfdn.org.
