In Memory Of
Curtis Brunk
1952 - 2019

Curtis Nelson Brunk passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long illness on July 20, 2019. He was surrounded by his family. He was born the son of Charles Albert Brunk and Barbara Ann (Huston) Melton on August 3, 1952.

He is survived by his wife Jessica (Roberts), beloved dog TJ, brothers Kevin Brunk and Kent Thorington as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless treasured long time friends.

Curt retired from the city of Olathe after 30 years of service having served the city since he was 17. He enjoyed a variety of activities including scuba diving, water skiing, canoeing, road trips, attending auctions, was a licensed pyrotechnician and time spent at the family cabin on Bull Shoals lake. But, most of all, he enjoyed time spent with friends and family, relaxing, playing practical jokes, and making memories – he will be remembered most for this.

No immediate services are planned and the family will host a Celebration of Curt’s life at a later time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Olathe Health Hospice House in Curt's memory.
