Doris Marilyn Temple, 87, of Olathe, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2019. She was born on March 25, 1932 to George and Ima (Jaycox) Heldt in Alcester, SD.

Doris grew up in Hawarden, IA where she attended school and learned her strong midwestern values.

After a brief career working for the airlines, she was married in 1954. She then dedicated much of her life to being a full time homemaker and raising her three boys.

In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, gardening and bird-watching.

Doris is survived by her loving children, Richard W. Temple II, Robert K. Temple, and Randal E. Temple.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Temple.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019, at 10:00 am at the Church of the Harvest in Olathe, with burial following in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Flowers are welcome, and if you would care to make a donation in memory of Doris, memorial contributions may be given to the Olathe Hospice House.
